Coach Ross Newkirk
Coach Newkirk is the Defensive Coordinator of the football team and Head Baseball Coach. He is beginning his third year as a football coach, second at OCP. He is the defensive backs and receivers positional coach this year as well. He has also coached linebackers and running backs the past two seasons. Coach Newkirk coached the linebackers and running backs in the past two Senior All-Star games.
This was Coach Newkirk’s first year as Head Baseball Coach.
Coach Newkirk was a 4-year letterman in both football and baseball at Port Jervis High School in New York. He also lettered three years in track and field. He played his college football career at Division 1-AA Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. He also played two seasons of semi-professional football for the Hudson Valley Giants of New York. Coach Newkirk holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport and Fitness from the University of Central Florida.
