Coach Juanita Hitt- Girls Volleyball

Juanita will  be entering into her fourth year with Orlando Christian Prep.   Coach Hitt has a very impressive resume including a four year starter at Bayshore High School in Bradenton, FL. Hitt was 3 year All-Area Selection and was named Most Valuable Player and Team Captain her senior year.  In 2007 she was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame.  In 1997 she attended the University of Montevallo (Montevallo, AL) where she was named to the Gulf South Conference All Newcomer Team and finished her two year  career among the school’s all time leaders in total attempts, single match hitting percentage and single match total attacks. Her final two years of college were completed at Jacksonville University where she was ranked 16th in the nation in Service Aces for the NCAA.  She was also named Physical Education Co-Student of the Year at Jacksonville University. Hitt completed an internship with FCCJ where she helped with the direction and coaching of Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association. She graduated from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. After her college career, Hitt was hired by the University of Central Florida as the Assistant Volleyball Coach where she assisted head coach Meg Colado and the UCF squad to 2 Atlantic Sun Championships followed by 2 NCAA appearances, one reaching the 32nd round of the Women’s Volleyball NCAA Championship. During here tenure at UCF, Hitt has guided several All Conference members, All Academic members and an All American. She also served on the AVCA’s Assistant Coaches Committee.  Hitt was also a co-director of Team Orlando, a club team created in the UCF Area
